Vic Sadot has been singer-songwriter for over 40 years. He is probably best known for his tribute song to Phil Ochs, “Broadside Balladeer”, and for his song for war crimes whistle-blower Bradley Manning, “Courage To Resist”. His recent update of his “No Nuke Blues” song was featured on Sandy LeonVest's Progessive Radio show “Political Analysis” after Vic met her through her Facebook site called “Solar Times”. Vic has been based in Berkeley, California since autumn 2008. Vic writes in the tradition of “Broadside, the National Topical Song Magazine” of Sis Cunningham and Gordon Friesen, and his songwriter heroes, Woody Guthrie and Phil Ochs. He led the Crazy Planet Band since 1979 as a showcase for his original folk rock songs, and he led Planète Folle Band in performing Cajun/Zydeco and New Orleans R&B songs in the Mid-Atlantic USA region.

Vic's first CD at CD Baby is Comin' Home, a 1997 release with Planète Folle Band: www.cdbaby.com/cd/vicsadot , and his second CD was "Broadsides & Retrospectives" in 2005 as a "Best of Vic Sadot & Crazy Planet Band": www.cdbaby.com/vicsadot2

On September 11, 2011 Vic released a new solo CD and launched his new official website at www.vicsadot.com on that same day! The CD is called "9/11 Truth & Justice Songs", which is now available at CD Baby: www.cdbaby.com/cd/vicsadot3

Vic is currently finishing another CD with Eric Golub that is likely to be titled “Courage To Resist”. Vic has been in regular rotation at the Pacifica affiliate, internet-only, No Lies Radio www.noliesradio.org since 2007 and he has also served as a reporter on numerous occasions for the NoLiesRadio team.

Most of his Vic Sadot's recent recordings in Berkeley are graced with the talented accompaniment of Eric Golub on violin, viola, and ukulele. Vic has been posting a lot of these as Free MP3's at SoundCloud: www.souncloud.com/broadsideballadeer

Younger brother Rob Sadot plays electric guitar and has been a big part of the sound and style of Vic's recordings over the years. He visited Vic from the east coast and they recorded three songs in Berkeley's Robot Envy Studio. One of those songs, “Full Spectrum Dominance”, is now a free mp3 at SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/broadsideballadeer/full-spectrum-dominance .

"Full Spectrum Dominance" was written by Vic Sadot for the visit of Bruce Gagnon, founder of the Global Network Against Nuclear Power and Weapons in Space. See www.space4peace.org . Vic's “Full Spectrum Dominance” was first publicly performed before the speech of Bruce Gagnon on April 10, 2011 for the Social Justice Committee of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists in Historic Fellowship Hall. www.bfuu.org/events/social-justice
